Aperture?

This week's assignment has been pretty tough for me. With our camera, it's hard to get a good shot unless the lighting is perfect. Anyone want to go out with me and try some photos with my camera? I think I need a hands on lesson. Would you consider this a good example of using aperture?

    This picture is great! You and I have very similar camera's. We should definitely go take some pictures together sometime!- Meredith

    That's it. You got it.

    See how the leaves in the foreground and background are out of focus, but the leaves in the middle are in focus?

    The only way to do that is with aperture. That is depth of field (DOF).
